I found it ridiculous when I was told I couldnt wash my hair until it’s fully locked. But now Im reading that you have to wash your starting locs with no residue shampoo, & that the build-up in your hair slows down the process…. This is from a website I was reading: Rumor: You do not wash dreadlocks. Hair must be dirty to dread. Fact: If you do not wash your hair it will stink....
